The First Hotel & Resort Membership using Non-Fungible Token (NFT) will be sold in Korea.

“Gloucerster Hotel Jeju,” a new brand hotel & resort, will carry out hotel, resort, and tourism business on Jeju Island, South Korea. It has jointly decided to issue only a limited number of NFT-based “Gloucester Membership” along with Xeno Holdings, a blockchain technology investment company based in Hong Kong. The membership allows members to use all hotels and resorts which Gloucester has or is going to acquire across Jeju Island. Gloucester Membership is the first non-Fungible Token (NFT)-based Hotel & Resort Membership in Korea, allowing individuals to own their membership in the form of NFT tokens without the issuer’s control or management. NFT membership also has the advantage of allowing anyone to trade their membership freely without any brokers or middlemen by easily exchanging tokens.

Non-Fungible Token (NFT), a concept that can safely store unique information in blockchain to prove sole value and cannot be replaced by other tokens, is currently actively traded in artwork, game items, limited edition goods, and photo cards. Although there are not many cases yet, it is currently drawing attention to memberships, gift certificates, and the ticket industry as well.

According to Gloucester, “Gloucester Membership will give members eligibility to use various hotels and resorts added to the group in the future and will add more benefits such as dining or travel packages, etc. In particular, it is predicted that the membership in the form of NFT will be issued in a limited quantity and will have more value as the number of available hotels or benefits increase in the future.

President Dr.Alan Miller of Xeno Holdings said, “Starting with this collaboration with Gloucester, we will create a new NFT application case in the Korean market.” He also promised to “continue various attempts using NFT and blockchain technology in the leisure & tourism sector through continuous cooperation with Gloucester.”

Gloucester NFT membership will be sold soon at the NFT Marketplace “Xeno NFT Hub” operated by Xeno Holdings.
